Volume 1
This 56 page booklet is aimed squarely at the beginner who wants to work commercially covering items such as History, Materials, Personal Care, and Marketing along with a good selection of one and more balloon models which are easy to make on the spot yet will please and delight most of your customers. The real strength of this book lies towards the end with a small section dedicated to finding work and working commercially. This book has been many peoples first step to earning money from this hobby.
Volume 2
In this second instalment of the Manual of Balloon Modelling series Val Andrews leads you through other ways to use balloon modelling during an act including magic with balloons which goes far beyond the simple needle thou balloon type trick and brings in other props. Val also covers items such as set, how to hustle, balloon cartoons, and a possibly somewhat dated peoples of the world routine. This booklet is 33 pages long and has some very nice ideas and guidance for those wishing to work with balloons either as an add on to an existing act, or as a new act in itself.
Volume 3
In volume 3 of The Manual of Balloon Modelling Val Andrews runs through a suggested act based on Sherlock Holmes along with the modelling techniques and ideas needed to perform it. This is a good example of how to form an act which is more than "Look a dog, Look a Giraffe, Look a ......", and uses some very simple models and ideas to great effect. A good read for anyone who is trying to put together a commercial package.
